Courses can contain almost any electronic file and are highly flexible.

• The standard course is a 4 hour course where the material is presented in a variety of formats with a certificate generated by the student as long as they spend a certain amount of time on the course and pass the MCQ.

But there are lots of other possibilities:

• A longer taught course gradually rolled out over weeks where a cohort of students do the course materials, attend virtual tutorials and submit assignments which are marked by allocated tutors.

• A discussion board moderated by a "course author" and restricted to a certain area with no attempt to assess contributors.  This is simply a place for discussion between interested parties.

• A series of podcasts delivered through an RSS feed which effectively makes them into a sort of on-line radio programme.

• A repository for lectures from the key note speakers attending the ABN, SBNS etc

• A Neuroscience Wiki

• A repository for patient information leaflets

The opportunities are almost endless but you need to tell us what you want...
